Overview...
It is never easy to visit a church for the first time. We hope this will help make your experience at Calvary Community Church a bit more comfortable. When you first enter our doors, you will be met by one of our friendly greeters who are there to welcome you and help you get acquainted with the church.
If you have children up through sixth grade, our caring staff will be glad to assist you in checking them in to their age-appropriate classes downstairs.
Junior High and High School Students meet between services (9:40-10:40am) and are encouraged to attend services in the main sanctuary as well.
What should I wear?
You will find that some of our people dress up, but most tend to dress casually. You'll see jeans, ties, and everything in between. We are far more interested in getting to know you than we are in what you're wearing.
The Service...
Worship
This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. We have live, upbeat music with guitars, drums, etc., as well as more intimate songs. Everyone worships in their own unique way. For many, that means singing and clapping, for others it may mean quietly reflecting on the words. Join in as you are led by the Holy Spirit.
Every week, you will hear a straightforward, Bible-based message that applies to your everyday life. This is meant to encourage you and challenge you to live out your faith as you draw closer to Jesus.
Communion
Every other month, we celebrate communion together. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer as long they've made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. The juice and bread that we share represent the life He gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.
Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings (money). As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attenders, allowing them to thank God for all that He is doing in their lives and to acknowledge Him as their provider. This also sustains the ministry of Calvary Church.
Visit the Welcome Center
Please come by the Welcome Center and see all that Calvary has to offer. We would love to answer any questions you may have and get the chance to meet you.
Pick up your kids
Make sure that you have the security tags that nursery and children's workers gave you when you dropped your kids off so that we can ensure your children's safety. Please pick up your children promptly.
Enjoy some coffee and conversation at the Calvary Cafe, open between services from 9:30 to 10:40am. If you're new, it's on us!
